Have you ever thought about how to find best friend gift ideas and restore or recharge your fellowship? It is just about that time again, time for the holidays. Pals are not always best friends and as much as you show them that they matter, on occasion it really helps to give a unique best friend gift to your object of friendship just to proclaim, “You are worth a little extra.”
Do you ever need to have your fuel cells “renewed”, or you may need a jolt to your self-confidence. You might be facing a very scary situation–like turning another year or two older with a BIG zero behind the digit–and need a steady and solid presence.

How about having a totally attentive ear to vent your troubles to and get answers, but only if it is requested. On a more enjoyable note, you may want to take a spontaneous trip to the unknown with intelligent conversation, watching the birds and catching up on the day. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to find–and then hold on to–a beautiful mind, the one that fits these needs, plus much more!

If you had your second cup of coffee, we’re talking about best friends! It is all so important to recognize and cherish one of the best unique gifts on our earth–best friends! They are truly invaluable and can save you literally hundreds of dollars in doctor’s bills. Once identified, this person can serve as “consultant” on everything from children, spouses, religion and social issues.

Now, it is also important to realize that these best friends are a great fortune and resource, and not to be taken for naught. You have a responsibility to guard and protect them.

Make sure to value not only their efforts, but also their point of view when you ask for their opinion. Treat your best friends like the worthy endeavor they are, and guarantee their safety. After all, it’s difficult enough to find and keep good friends–much less best friends.

Finding a great best friend gift is always a great notion. Best friends are fantastic to confide with during a life-stressor. Just a phone call away your best friend is an outstanding resource to call upon. It is like they say, “A best friend does not get you out of the slammer, they are sitting on the bench in the cell next to you.” Click Here for all your “unique best friend gifts”.

She Wrote the Book on Fakin’ It

She brought the guitar into vogue. She created the first “fake” books designed for regular folks who didn’t want to or were unable to invest the time and effort to master the guitar. Who was she?

Catherina Josepha Pelzer was born in 1821 in Mulheim, on the Rhine. She was the daughter of Ferdinand Pelzer, a leading German guitarist during the early part of the 19th Century. Ferdinand began tutoring his daughter when she was quite young - a task made easier by the fact that young Catherina was quite the musical prodigy. She made her London concert debut at the age of seven. Soon after, her family moved from Germany to England where she received much critical acclaim and gained fame as a performer. Her concerts and recitals inspired people all over to pick up the guitar. Catherina later became much sought after as a guitar teacher, instructing the likes of the Princesses Louise and Beatrice, among others. In 1854 Catherina Pelzer married a renowned flautist and composer, and took the name by which she is more commonly remembered - Madame Sidney Pratten.

After some time as an instructor, she realized that many people were not inclined to invest the necessary effort to master the guitar. Many others simply did not possess the skills to do so. She had the solution, which came in the form of several publications. Her most popular and successful manual, Learning the Guitar Simplified, included easy exercises, each of which was followed by a simple song, along with diagrams of the fingerboard to show where the notes were found. She created another publication that color-coded each note in the diatonic scale. This was known, logically enough, as Colored Diagrams of the Notes of the Fingerboard of the Guitar. And for those who had very little time to practice, she put together Instructions for the Guitar Tuned in E Major. One tuning. No muss, no fuss.

Mme. Pratten died in 1895, leaving behind a wonderful legacy. She had brought the guitar into popularity by showing the world how beautifully it could be played and by making it easier for the average person to play it well - or at least close enough for rock and roll.

Five Steps To Successful Web Marketing And Sales Process!

The basic principles used successfully by brick and mortar storefronts in moving your potential clients through a successful sales process is also the most effective way on the web.

But how?

You do this by following the five step process in your marketing strategy by attracting potential clients, building trust, helping them choose the right product, presenting the product, and then closing the sale.

Step One- Marketing / prospecting:

Prospecting is the delivery of qualified visitors to your website. It can be achieved by many forms, such as, search engine marketing, pay-per-clicks, and e-mail advertising that draw people to your site.

Once they are there, it’s your responsibility to show them how your product can fill the void in the marketplace and what sets your product apart from the rest. Deliver your ‘Unique Selling Proposition’, USP.

Step two- Building trust:

Just like in a brick and mortar business where you greet a person when they walk in the door or physically help them find what they are looking for, you can build trust by doing similar things on your website by the elements that surround the design and development of your website.

Your visitor is unconsciously judging your credibility by asking themselves the following questions:

  1. Does the website have the feel and look of a legitimate company?

  2. Is it easy to find the company contact information?

  3. How is the copy on the site?

  4. How fast does it download, and are there any broken links?

  5. Is there a privacy policy posted on the site?

  6. Is it easy to navigate?

Step three- Help the buyer:

If you have done your prospecting right, the visitors coming to your website are hoping to find a solution to their problem. The solution can be a product or a service. Internet marketing studies show that 7 out of 10 visitors are ready to buy. They are only looking for a vendor who they find more helpful.

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Are you helping your visitors to identify and find the solution to their problem?

  2. Are you guiding them to find the solution by easy to find information, and navigation?

Step four- Present the product:

Before you present your product, make sure that you have already helped the buyer by identifying with their needs in the previous stage. When you present your product or service to your visitor be sure to keep their attention and their interest by motivating them to continue with the sale.

Step five- Successfully close the sale:

Look at each of the products that you offer and ask yourself these questions:

  1. Are you assuring them by giving guarantees?

  2. Does your description answer all their questions?

  3. Are you giving them feed back and testimonials from your clients?

  4. Do you take credit cards, if so which ones?

  5. What happens after they purchase?

Take the guess work out of the purchase process.

If you court your visitors by the five steps above, you’ll see better conversions, and increased profits.

In the Baseball Game of Sales, You Need a Big Bat to Make Headway!

Many sales professionals know what it’s like to visualize calling prospect after prospect on the drive to work. They envision handling any objection and closing all their prospects with fun and ease. But once they settle into their office chair, they quickly fall prey to a berating little voice that always suggests to keep waiting for seemingly good reasons:

• If you call too early in the morning, you’ll be considered a noisome pest. Go get a cup of coffee and plan out your day. If you fail to plan, you know you’re planning to fail.

• Better check your email before making any calls. You never know when an existing client might need assistance. You shouldn’t keep existing clients waiting.

• It’s almost time for the office meeting to start. If you get started on making calls now, you’ll feel rushed. You won’t have success with prospects if you’re feeling rushed. They’ll think you’re rushing for the sale, and you’ll lose the deal.

• People are getting ready to head out for lunch. No one wants to be bothered by a sales person, when he’s getting ready to leave the office.

• People are just returning from lunch. They don’t want to be bothered by a sales person, when they’re trying to get settled in.

• Now would be a great time to call, if only you felt more confident in your script. If you don’t feel confident, the results won’t be worthwhile. There’s no sense in putting time into making calls, if you aren’t going to get the good results you desire. It would be more advantageous to get online and learn about effective sales calling techniques.

• Calling certain prospects could really influence your business in a big way. When you’ve mastered the new techniques/scripts you learned, you’ll be able to advance very quickly. It’s best to master those techniques before calling such influential prospects. You don’t want to ruin your opportunities just because you weren’t better prepared.

• It’s too late to call prospects. They’re getting ready to leave work. Arrive here all the earlier tomorrow morning, and you can get all those calls completed before noon.

If any or all of those suggestions sound familiar, you probably know what it’s like to hear a voice chastising you on your drive home from work because you didn’t make the calls you were supposed to make. Strange, isn’t it? It sounds quite like the voice that talked you out of making any of those calls all throughout the day.

Learning how to “seize the phone” requires investigating the voice, that talks one out of making the necessary prospecting calls that advance anyone’s sales business. There are plenty of programs to assist sales professionals become more efficient during the calls, and certainly it’s always beneficial to hone one’s skills. But too many sales professionals report that it isn’t the sales process that trips them up, but rather, actually picking up the telephone and placing the call to Mr. Prospect. There always seems to be a reason why it would be better to wait and call later.

Most sales professionals understand on a gut level that waiting for a better time to call is only cheating them from further expanding their sales business today. But getting past a relentless, fear inflicting voice in their heads is no easy task. Of course, if it were, top sales professionals wouldn’t be so desperately needed or so highly paid.

One day, while musing through a book by Dr. Seuss, I Had Trouble Getting to Solla Sollu, one of the poems seem to jump out at me like a jack-in the box:

I learned there are troubles of more than one kind

Some come from ahead and some from behind

But I’ve bought a big bat; I’m all ready, you see

Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me

In the sales profession, most troubles come from ahead and behind the telephone. In honor of Dr. Seuss’ little poem, I refer to those troubles as the “trouble thoughts.” Trouble thoughts often bombard one before and after reaching for the telephone to make a prospecting call. In my coaching experience, I discovered the novice as well as executive relates to those trouble thoughts I described above.

Indeed, even sales professionals with very outgoing personalities can find themselves in a petrified state before picking up the telephone. It seems that no matter how much success they might have experienced, they still undergo sales call resistance. Some of my clients divulge that their previous outstanding sales history does little to convince them that they have what it takes to keep making prospecting calls today. There are even those who admit that a month after starting a new sales position, they have yet to place even one prospecting call. According to good ol’ Dr. Seuss, they simply need a big bat to give those troubles a little trouble.

From my own sales experience, I learned that the best time to call a prospect is as soon as I think about calling him. Waiting for a better time usually results in one of two things - never finding the right time to call that prospect, or waiting so long that by the time the call is finally placed, the prospect is already doing business with someone else and no longer requires the suggested product or service.

So how does one get oneself to the point that he can walk right past all those nagging reasons to wait and call later? Is it necessary to thoroughly examine his past and everything that has fueled his fearful feelings? I don’t believe so. The most effective method to change a present situation is to keep one’s focus on the present, not the past.

When sales professionals become aware that it’s actually possible to seize the phone, or as I say “Carpe Phonum,” when they lack courage, they stop waiting and start calling. In order to create that awareness, I use an analogy of a baseball player going up to bat, and naturally having the goal to hit the ball, run to each of the bases, and finally cross over the home plate and score.

Getting to first base involves coming face to face with the voice that talks one out of making all those calls. That voice must be presented, discussed and revealed as the liar that it is, before the sales professional can swing, that is, swing his position from one of standstill to action. He must learn to trust his true desires so he can easily move from the batting or starting position to first base.

Moving to second base requires learning how to detach oneself from the persistent voice that nags and distracts but never points one in the right direction. Every sales professional needs a big bat that effectively dismantles the seeming hold that fear has on him, so he can move on to third base.

Getting one’s feet firmly planted on third base occurs when the sales professional sees more to his business than the exchanging of goods and money. By opening his eyes to recognize the potential ongoing value he creates and the good that unfolds simply by contacting others on the telephone, he learns the greater aspects and opportunities of his business.

Finally, the sales professional must learn that getting to home plate is only accomplished when he takes his foot off of third base. It is necessary to come to grips with the fact that the sales process is a continual cycle, that everyday he must walk out of the dugout of fear, pick up a bat of immeasurable value, put himself in the game and start playing. Ultimately, it is the only way to cross the home plate and score the sale!

Trust Yourself, Not the Experts

Time and time again, I’ve seen people rely on expert advice and find the advice doesn’t work for them. Then they beat themselves up that they must be incompetent because “it should work.” Almost every week now, I receive at least one email telling me such a story, often ending with a line like, “Am I just too stupid / broken / antisocial / undisciplined / weak?”

Don’t do this to yourself. Often advice doesn’t work because it’s bad advice. Of the hundreds of personal development books I’ve read, I’d say most of them contained bad advice, meaning that the ideas and suggestions simply did not work for me. They produced zero results or even negative results. But this doesn’t mean the author was lying. In most cases I could see a reason why the advice might have worked well for the author but wouldn’t work for me. We’re all different. What works for one person or even a group of people doesn’t always translate well to every individual.

As an example I’ve read many books that recommend daily affirmations. Maybe those do work for some people, but I’ve found that for me they’re an utter waste of time. Even when I believed they’d work, the results were lousy. What works better for me isn’t to recite my goals out loud but to shut up and get busy taking action on them.

Often when I mention an idea in this blog, for some people it will work great, but for others it will go nowhere. If something that works for certain people doesn’t work for you, don’t assume you’re broken. Assume that from your perspective, it’s just lousy advice.

It doesn’t matter how well-credentialed an expert is or what studies they have to back up their claims. Unless they’ve studied you personally, be suspicious of any advice that comes from “general findings.” If possible find out if it works through direct experience, but if it doesn’t work, simply say, “Next!”

How well do studies on “average” people apply to someone who isn’t average? Are you average? I’m certainly not. How many studies done on the general population would apply equally to a vegan, colorblind, left-handed, blue-eyed, ENTJ, college-educated, Vegas-residing father of two? For example, only about 1 in 500 Americans are vegan, so how could I trust any health study where my subdivision is lumped in with the other 99.8% who eat extremely differently than I do every single day? I’ve got to be initially skeptical that anything that applies to the 99.8% would still be true of the 0.2%.

Aren’t you unique as well? Do you completely fit the average mold in terms of your genetics, diet, upbringing, education, finances, family situation, residence, hobbies, etc? Or can you identify some manner in which you may be different than 99.9% of the population to such a degree that what applies to 999 random people will probably not apply to you?

Don’t worry so much about what the so-called experts say. Decades from now their advice will probably be proven wrong anyway. Study yourself as an individual, and use expert advice only as a general guide for new experiments of your own. Notice what works for you and what doesn’t. Trust your senses. If the experts say one thing, but your personal experience suggests the opposite, put more faith in your own experience. That will take you much farther down the road of personal development… certainly a lot farther than beating yourself up.

Web Diesel Tech Training

You can get your certification to work on diesel engines, at a good pay rate, online. Although jobs as a diesel mechanic are available everywhere, most openings are in populated urban settings where trucking companies and bus lines, as well as other fleet owners, are often based. Graduates could be assisted by many trade schools in placing them with companies that work closely with these schools.

It is possible to use the Internet for training without giving up the current employment by diesel mechanic students.

A Diesel Mechanical Degree will prepare you for a career working with diesel truck engines, busses and heavy equipment. Through distance education, students will learn how to repair diesel and ignition systems in addition to automotive engines. Upcoming Diesel Mechanics also become skilled at understanding and maintaining hydromechanical diesel fuel injection, computerized truck and bus systems, emissions, diesel powertrains, truck steering, suspension, brake and transmission systems, electronic technology fundamentals, and advanced diagnostic systems.

An online training course may last from six months or 2 years depending on the institution chosen. Upon completion of the series of online training courses, graduates are certified as Diesel Mechanics, Diesel Service Technicians, Diesel Truck Service Technicians or Auto-Diesel Mechanics.

Once you are a Certified Diesel Mechanic you can work at a car repair shop. Diesel Mechanic, having a few years of hands on experience, can get the confidence and skill to commence his own business.

finding the perfect lingerie gift for your wife

Some people stop being creative at gift giving when they
exchange wedding rings. But a marriage is a lifetime thing and
if you stop being creative in giving gifts to your wife, chances
are, even if she says nothing, she’s going to feel that you’re
falling out of love with her.

And what better way to make your wife feel she’s sexy and
desired than by….giving her handpicked sexy lingerie?

The best way to buy sexy (and perfect) lingerie for your wife
is…first, to be armed with information. Her size and fit. You
can do this by sneaking into her intimate apparel drawer and
taking a close look at the labels. That should do the trick.
Even if the sizes for normal bras and lingerie are not going to
be the same, at least the shop assistant has got figures to work
with. Forget about the typical scenarios people write into
screenplays or movies. Men should NOT go around measuring other
people’s breasts and bra size with the palm or their hands. The
best you can do is probably comparing the size and height of the
shop assistant to your wife. But even then, men tend to get
embarrassed about making the comparison even if the shop
assistant is not. Remember, they get this a whole lot throughout
the day.

If you’re getting the lingerie for your wife online, you should
check the returns and exchange terms that they have on their
website. Just in case the size is not right, your wife can at
least return it or exchange it for another size or color. All
the better, if you’re buying lingerie for your wife, patronize
online shops with free shipping - it saves you quite a bit of
money there.

Men have no problems with matching their intimate apparel but
usually, women feel sexy and most of them would like to match
their bras and panties. So, buy lingerie with matching tops and
bottoms. Some women like embroidered design and if the shop
you’re buying the lingerie from does not have embroidered
designs, you should get one with laces or something REALLY,
really feminine.

Choosing from a wide variety of colors for the lingerie can be a
headache. You like navy but do you think your wife would like to
wear navy? Consider this, dark colored lingerie will show
through light-colored clothing. Stick to pastel colors, white,
beige or light purple that is sexy and feminine at the same
time. If you’re still in doubt, check with her what her favorite
color is. You can’t go wrong that way.
