Last night I was watching Seabiscuit, a film where that cute spidey Tobey Maguire starred, and I was really impressed how a lot of people enjoy watching and gambling that darn horse racing. There are a lot of reasons why I don’t think this kind of gambling does not benefit any concerned parties. One, gambling is an addictive leisure. I heard a lot of stories where people from high class society turned destitute after losing all his assets in gambling. You must remember that money in this kind of leisure comes at you easily, thus, it can also go away from you easily. Two, I have a hard time looking at those horses being beaten like mad by horse riders. That’s just animal cruelty don’t you think? A lot of people are enjoying the game without even thinking of the horse feels? Three, there cheating incidents in horse betting that ends in a riot. Since money is the main issue in this kind of game, every one is assuring themselves to have as much money to their advantage. They won’t be betting for fun. The reason they are there is because of the money that they will get from betting. So why is there a lot of people enjoying this awful game when it does not provide any benefits to all the parties involved? Why does the government permits this, when there are a lot of crimes happening due to a simple gambling. Government should rethink and reconsider their decision. Do you agree with me?
